HIGH ROLLING SEIZE

Despite being the fastest qualifier for the $191,747 QHRAI Stallion Service Auction (SSA) Futurity at Indiana Grand on Sept. 4,
High Rolling Seize was the second choice in the wagering behind race favorite Botticelli Beach, winner of the Gordon Mobley Futurity in July. High Rolling Seize finished second
in the Gordon Mobley, beaten just a head by Botticelli Beach.
With jockey Shanley Jackson in the irons, High Rolling Seize avenged the previous defeat and turned the tables on Botticelli Beach in the QHRAI SSA Futurity.
Despite hitting the gate at the start, High Rolling Seize raced in third position early. He quickly found his best stride, collared the leaders
in the lane, and rolled to an impressive victory, 3/4-length in front of runner-up Prize

Kiss. Botticelli Beach finished third after breaking out and bumping at the start.
In winning the first stakes event of his young career, High Rolling Seize stopped the timer in :18.076 for the 350 yards. His final clocking earned a speed index of 86 Trained by Matt Frazier, who also trained the winner’s sire, Seize The Win to multiple stakes wins during his racing career, the $74,782 winner’s share
Runner-up Prize Kiss (Kiss My Hocks-Fast Prize Janie), winner of the Heartland Futurity, surged late under Luz Martinez to get up for second. The colt is owned by Pamela Brickley Hann and Craig Zeneberg and is conditioned by Anthony Cunningham. Botticelli Beach (Escondido Beach-Botticelli Shake) was third under Erik Esqueda. The filly, who was denied a fourth consecutive win, races for Claudio Barraza and is trained by Claudio Barraza.
Count Down (Ivory James-Rare Encore), Zack James (Ivory James-Romped), Bye Bye B Train (Freighttrain B-Bye Bye Corona), Ravin Stone (Brimmstone-Beach Bride), Jesses Beach (Escondido Beach-Jess Alive Bully), Fabulous Barbara (One Fabulous Eagle-Send A Candy Tee), and Kiss Me At Midnight (Kiss My Hocks-Midnight Cartel) completed the order of finish. BP CK Eagle was scratched.

High Rolling Seize is likely to target the $150,000 Miss Roxie Little Futurity on Indiana Champions Day on Oct. 30 as a potential next start. Bred in Indiana, High Rolling Seize is produced from the Feature Mr Jess mare Crossing The Brazos.

Fire The Cartel graduated to the ranks of stakes winners with a hard-fought victory in the $108,591 QHRAI Stallion
Service Auction (SSA) Derby at Indiana Grand on Sept. 4.
Piloted by Samuel Mendez, Fire The Cartel broke in fifth from the seven-gate and raced in fifth position early in the 400- yard event.

Trained by Randy Smith, Fire The Cartel stopped the timer in :20.260, earning an 86 speed index.
Bred and owned by Rose Bode, Fire The
Cartel picked up the $42,351 winner’s share of the purse which increased her earnings to $85,800. The sorrel filly,
who is produced from the Mr Jess Perry mare Prairie Fire, is now a four-time win- ner from 11 lifetime starts.
This was the first win for Fire The Cartel since an allowance score at Indiana
for owner Williams Racing Stables Inc. and trainer Randy Smith. The two-time winner has competed exclusively at Indiana Grand.
Stone Lake (Escondido Beach-Silly Chix), with Luz Martinez aboard, showed the way early and finished third for owner Pattie Marshall and trainer Anthony Cunningham. The gelding won last year’s Gordon Mobley Futurity and was a runner-up in the Blue River Derby earlier this year.
Stakes winner Jess Bringin It On (Jess Zoomin-Billie Bob TB) was fourth, and Cartel Creek (The Louisiana Cartel- Rawhide Creek), Up Town J Ray (Escondido Beach-Shazilla), AA Storm The Mozoomo (Mo Zoomo-Grace The Storm), and Flyn (Coronado Cartel-Splittin Hairs) completed the order of finish. Beach Blast and WH Imastreakinbeach were both scratched.
