Oklahoma Futurity-G2
TRES CRYSTALS
by Tracy Gantz
Elizabeth Logan may be 95, but that doesn’t stop her from enjoying equine endeavors. She showed halter horses from age 68 to
88, and now she has her second Oklahoma Futurity-G2 trophy in four years. EC Revenge won the race in 2019, and Tres Crystals took the 2022 edition.
Logan’s late husband, George, got
the couple into horses. He raised World Champion Palominos in Haskell, Oklahoma, branching out into Quarter Horses as
well. Eventually, Elizabeth began showing Palominos, earning a Reserve World Championship almost immediately, and Quarter Horses at the American Quarter Horse Association Select World Show.
George, who died in 2011, was posthumously honored by the AQHA as a 50-year breeder in 2018. At first Elizabeth continued to care for and show the horses until she decided to retire from showing after hip surgery about 13 years ago.
