dr. Helen Cho is played by South Korean actress, Soo-hyun Kim also known as Claudia
Kim. In 2005, she won a modelling contest and was offered to start acting. Kim reminisces:
“I kind of got into entertainment not by my will. I hadn’t expected it, actually. It was
a fun challenge for me to go through, and I got an offer to become an actress right
away from modeling. So I kind of needed time to think if this is what I really want
to do for life. The entertainment industry is not always easy. I really needed to decide
I can do this, and I will do this for the rest of my life. That took me three years. I’m
an international studies major. I’ve been a reporter. I was always interested in media,
but I just didn’t know specifically what. I took time to look back on myself and
discover who I am, what my calling is and I came to that conclusion that this didn’t
happen by coincidence. There’s a reason behind this.”
