GALLBLADDER PATHOLOGY
ACUTE CHOLECYSTITIS
▪ Sonographic findings include gallstones, pericholecystic fluid, wall thickening, and sludge.
▪ Focal tenderness over the gallbladder may be present (Murphy’s sign).
▪ Acute cholecystitis has several sequela many of which are life threatening.
