CHOLELITHIASIS
• Biliary stones that form within the gallbladder are called gallstones or cholelithiasis.
• Gallstones typically consist of a mixture of cholesterol, calcium bilirubinate, and calcium carbonate.
• Gallstones are more commonly seen in female patients.
• Patientswhoarefat,female,fertile,flatulent,fair,andfortyhavebeenshowna higher incidence of gallstones.
