WHY THIS GIFT MATTERS!
People experiencing homelessness in Lincoln need assistance with already-diagnosed
health issues, access to healthcare, refilling prescriptions and straight-forward
medical advice.
A new partnership between Clinic with a Heart’s volunteer health care professionals
and Matt Talbot Kitchen and Outreach staff meets people where they are.
The goal is “providing care where people are at that very moment.” First Lutheran
Church member, Glenn Schawang, an experienced Matt Talbot outreach worker, serves
as a navigator who helps volunteer medical professionals connect and build trust.
Contributions fund over-the-counter medications, prescription drugs, lab work and
provide glasses.
