Session 1: MOUs and Agency Agreements
Schools enter into Memorandums of Understandings (MOUs) with local agencies on a
periodic basis. For instance, districts may enter into an MOU with the local police de-
partment to provide school resource officers (SROs) support. The MOU outlines the re-
sponsibilities of both parties. Formalized, pre-event agreements can support equip-
ment and supplies. This session will inform participants about such agreements and
considerations when finalizing MOUs.
Session 2: Internet Safety
Internet safety is an ongoing challenge in today’s schools. Educators and administra-
tors spend countless hours responding to internet safety issues. This session will give an
insight into keeping students and adults safer online. Participants will learn the latest
statistics, online resources, videos, and expert tips to educate, engage, and empower
children and adults to be safer online.
Session 3: Current Safety Products
School districts continuously look for ways to keep campuses and people safe. Crisis-
Go provides great resources for educators. Learn about products that can help keep
your campus safe. Participants will learn about training opportunities and products to
make a safer environment for all.
Session 4: Gang Information and Drug Trends
Gang activity and substance use impact communities, individuals, and school dis-
tricts. This session will cover recent trends and statistical data in regards to gangs and
drugs in communities. Topics will include various drugs usage, clothing, and gang ac-
tivity.
