Irene el-Khorazaty has been the head of the Liaison
Office Cairo of Philipps-Universität Marburg since

2014. In her position, she is enhancing the Egyptian-
German collaboration in scientific exchange in two
directions: promoting Marburg scientific
achievements and programs in Egypt and the
region with the aim of long-lasting cooperation,
knowledge transfer or knowledge circulation to the
benefit of both countries. In the other direction, the
Liaison Office Cairo is supporting students and
young scientists from Philipps-Universität Marburg
while studying in Egypt, contributing to the open-
mindedness of students as well as the
Irene el-Khorazaty internationalization strategy of the university. Mrs.
el- Khorazaty graduated as Dipl.-Kauffrau in
Philipps-Universität
Economics from Munich University, Germany.

From 2014 until 2017 she has also been program
Liaison Office Cairo
coordinator at the German Academic Exchange
Service (DAAD) in Cairo with responsibilities for
German students and scientists as well as DAAD

project funding in the field of Higher Education.
