Do you want to enjoy some of the best BBQ you will ever eat? Become a Certified Barbeque Judge (CBJ), it will open you up to the world of competi- tion BBQ. Upon completing the class, you’ll be able to judge BBQ worldwide, at any Kansas City Bar- beque Society (KCBS) sanctioned contest.
On May 5th 2021 at 6:00 pm Minnesota Barbeque Society will be hosting a Judge’s Training Class. The class will be held at Isanti Fairgrounds, 3101 Hwy 95 NE, Cambridge, MN 55008. The class lasts approximately three hours. It is very easy to be- come part of the judging team, the requirements to become a Certified Barbeque Judge are as follows:
To become a Kansas City Barbeque Society (KCBS) Certified Barbeque Judge (CBJ), you must be 16 years of age or older. You must complete a KCBS Judge Certification class. To maintain CBJ status, you must be a member in good standing with KCBS.
To sign-up for the May 5th Judge’s Class: go to https://mnbbqsociety.com and you will find the information you need to sign up for the class. You will need your KCBS Number and be in good stand- ing with KCBS. If you do not have a KCBS Number, you first need to sign up at KBCS (KCBS Site - Join KCBS) then return to Minnesota Barbeque Society website to sign up for the class. You may also join Minnesota Barbeque Society (MBS) if you wish to receive the discounted price and additional bene- fits.
