Martha Strode Bryan (1695-1762) has also been mentioned as an only daughter. She was, of course, well known to researchers because of Rebecca and Daniel Boone.
There is good research and documentation for the three sons and for Martha, but not for George or Jeremiah.
Despite the fact that the Strode Family is well researched I had not found a mention of Margaret Strode as a sister to Martha and the other orphans. But I had also not found her in any of the histories of the family, period.
Nevertheless I initially believed it possible that Margaret was a second daughter, another of the Strode orphans. I thought this because of the many DNA matches that I was finding to the descendants of Martha Strode.
