4.3 References
Your offer of employment with Thomas Franks is dependent upon the receipt of two satisfactory references or satisfactory references covering a minimum 5 year period in the case of school staff. We reserve the right to withdraw this offer or terminate your employment without notice or compensation if references are either not provided, or prove unsatisfactory. If required, Thomas Franks will provide a reference direct to another employer. It is not, however, our policy to give open testimonials to employees who are leaving. If you feel there are special circumstances in your case for example emigration you should contact your line manager.
4.4 Uniforms & Equipment
Any uniforms or equipment loaned to assist you with your duties, are entrusted to your safekeeping and whilst in your possession should be treated carefully and not abused. They remain the property of Thomas Franks and must be maintained and returned in good condition on the request of your line manager. Negligent loss or damage to Company property will result in replacement or repair cost being deducted from your pay or salary at source. Failure to return such company property if you leave Thomas Franks, will result in replacement costs being deducted from your final salary.
4.5 Time Recording
Some Thomas Franks locations will have arrangements for time recording by clocking IN and OUT. Other locations have different methods of recording your arrival and departure times and attendance, for both payment and fire safety reasons. Your line manager will explain the system to you at your induction which must be used by all staff. Hours of work must be recorded on every occasion of work. Under no circumstances must you either record the time of another employee, or allow someone else to record yours. This action my have dangerous consequences in the event of a fire and if payments are involved, will be treated as fraud or serious misconduct.
