 4. JOINING THE TEAM
4.6 Payments
Your salary will be paid into your bank or building society account on a monthly basis. The exact payment dates are available from your line manager. Every month you will receive a payslip via e-mail showing your Gross and Net salary, national insurance contributions, PAYE (income tax), pension contributions, overtime, and year-to-date figures.
If you believe your pay is incorrect, please speak to your line manager in the first instance and at the earliest opportunity. We reserve the right to pay any final salary by cheque.
4.7 Tax Office Information
Details on how to contact our tax office are available from your line manager or the people & training department.
4.8 Overtime
Due to the nature of our business, it is likely that you will be required to work overtime. This will usually be outside of normal working hours; during evenings, late nights or weekends. We will give you as much notice as possible if you are required to work and will appreciate your cooperation.
Premium rates for overtime will only apply if agreed by your line manager and after you have worked more than 40 hours in any week, (or your contracted hours if these are in excess of 40 in any normal week.) Rates for overtime will be detailed on your contract of employment and will usually be paid one month in arrears. In most cases, overtime will be paid at your normal basic rate, or as time off in lieu as agreed with your line manager in advance
