8. HYGIENE, HEALTH & SAFETY
8.1 General Information
Many of our premises are considered to be hazardous work environments due to the equipment, chemicals, tools and nature of the work that we do. As a conscientious Thomas Franks colleague, it is important that you have read and are aware of the Company’s Hygiene & Safety Policies. To ensure the food we serve is safe and contamination free throughout its journey through our business, you will be trained in the relevant hygiene practices, as are required by law and as are listed in the company Hygiene and Safety manual.
For your own safety and that of your colleagues, customers and visitors, you are expected undertake and maintain the standards, practises and principles set out in the Company Hygiene, Health and Safety Policies and any other document which may from time to time be included within their framework.
Copies of the relevant policies are available on the Company Notice Board exhibited in your place of work including those relating to FIRE and DANGEROUS EQUIPMENT which should be read and followed at all times. To be safe, never use any unfamiliar equipment without first being trained on its safe use and operation.
