8.10 Notification and Treatment of Injuries & Accidents
1. Every Thomas Franks location has arrangements and facilities for the provision of first aid. The procedures which apply to your location will be explained by your line manager during your induction training.
2. All Thomas Franks colleagues have a statutory duty to report any accident (actual or potential) as soon as possible after it happens. In all cases of injury -NO MATTER HOW MINOR—you have a duty to inform your Manger immediately, who will see that the details are recorded in the Accident Book and on the Accident Report Forms. This information will be forwarded to the people and training department who will ensure that the information is monitored in order to assist us to prevent similar accidents in the future.
3. Where a client has medical facilities that are available to Thomas Franks colleagues, you should seek treatment without delay. In other locations different first-aid arrangements will apply. In either case, you should ensure you are familiar with the procedure and ask your line manager if you require clarification.
8.11 Fire
It is your duty to ensure you are familiar with the details of the ALARMS, FIRE FIGHTING EQUIPMENT AND EMERGENCY EVACUATION PROCEDURES applying to your Location. This procedure will be included in your Induction training and you will undergo regular fire and emergency evacuation drills to ensure you feel confident should a real emergency situation occur. In an emergency, remain calm and follow the procedures relevant to your location. Do not waste time, and help others to evacuate quickly and safely.
