9. GRIEVANCE & DISCIPLINARY
No line manager will have the authority to dismiss without obtaining procedural and legal advice from the people and training department.
9.6 Your Right of Appeal
If any Thomas Franks person is dissatisfied with the action taken at any stage of the disciplinary procedure, they should write to the nominated line manager or director stating their grounds for appealing, within seven working days of receiving the decision. The first stage of the appeal process may be heard by an alternative or more senior line manager. The second and final stage of the appeal process may be heard by a Company Director. At every stage of the Appeals Procedure you will be entitled to have the support and assistance of a fellow Thomas Franks employee or a representative of a recognised trade union.
The decision of a Company Director will be final.
