O
O nce upon a time, this is how most of the stories start. Yes, even
I got a story. A story that lies within you, by your thoughts, your
feelings, your emotions and your experiences. WE are made by ex-
perienced engineers and our world moves on complex Engineering.
Even the blacksmith or the goldsmith at the end of the road are a part
of this complex chain of engineering. I always told myself that an
engineer is the one who takes an extra step, ahead of time, constantly
upgrading to make our lives simpler. But these simple things are only
the art of complex engineering. We, the students join engineering
with that passion, more motivated than ordinary people, to belong
to that elite club of engineers who the world reckons every day, not
by their name but by the work they did for the humanity. Of all these
engineering students, only a few pass into that elite club. Others, fade
with time, their motivation degrading, losing their own essence, just
to be credited as an engineer by a degree.
Stepping into an engineering college for the first time, then finding
your way in the campus pool of different thoughts and ideas will build
your character. Interestingly, being mechanical engineers, we not only
build character for ourselves but build a life for others.
We, the mechanical engineers take pride in building the motion,
the motion on wheels which carries and carves our life with more
comforts and connectivity. We are in tune with the sound of roaring
engines, kicking to start, pounding the streets, exploring the universe,
all by a little spark in itself, which ignites into an incredible flame.
Sometimes, we are often bullied for making machines, a lifeless organ
which is told to take away the jobs of hardworking innocent people.
But most people fail to recognize the opportunity that lies within.
Yes, even our motivation may fade with time, our spirits may dip to
the lowest and our sweat may stink every night. We are not leaving
yet. We rise every morning, self-motivated and determined to start it
all over again. We will be back to power the World with new energy
every day, that passes into history.
I gladly welcome you all to the life of a mechanical engineer. We are
not Gods, we are Humans, for Humans. YE
