Duke of Edinburgh - bronze
        Day: Wednesday 5.00pm (Lent Term) Monday P6 (Summer Term)
        Venue: Various
        Open to: Third Form

        Description: This activity will train and guide you through the Bronze Award.  On
        Wednesday afternoons at 5.00pm, working in groups you will prepare and plan
        for your overnight expedition.  In May you will have the opportunity to take
        part in a practice expedition, before completing the assessed expedition in June.
        To complete the Bronze Award, students need to have completed three areas:
        Skills, Volunteering and Physical, alongside the assessed expedition. Students
        normally complete all components during Fourth Form. A parents and students
        information meeting will be held on Friday 19th January in the Great Hall.
        Cost: £295 to cover Award enrolment and both expeditions.

        Day: Tuesday
        Time: Period 6
        Venue: Physics
        Open to:  Lower Sixth
        Selection: Open
        MIC: M A Millington
        Description: This activity will prepare you and guide you through your Gold DofE
        Award. You will be enrolled in the Award and helped to choose what you will
        do for each section.  On Tuesday afternoons, in either Michaelmas or Lent Term,
        you will  train, plan and prepare for your practice and qualifying expeditions
        which take place in the Easter and summer holidays. In the Summer Term you
        will finalise your route for the assessed expedition, book your campsites and plan
        menus within your team.
        Cost: £500 to cover Award enrolment and both expeditions.
