Community services

A year long committment for the Lower Sixth Form.

Bloxham Pre-school
Day: Dependent on free periods. To start from 25th September.
Time: To fit with Lower Sixth timetable
Open to: Lower Sixth
Selection: First come, first served
MIC: Mrs J Cochran
Description: This service takes place at the local nursery. It looks after children aged
three to four years and will involve helping to run activities with the staff or to lead
an activity.
Skills learnt: Interacting with others, community cohesion, opportunities in education,
team working, creative thinking, developing responsibility, diplomacy & empathy.

Bloxham Primary School Art Club
Day: Thursday
Time: Period 6
Open to: Lower Sixth
Selection: First come, first served
MIC: Mr R Matthews
Description: Opportunity for students to develop their creative and leadership skills
working with primary school pupils on a range of self-initiated art projects.
Skills learnt: Creativity, leadership, project planning, presentation & social skills.

Bloxham Primary School Cooking activity
Day: Thursday
Time: Period 6
Open to: Lower Sixth
Selection: First come, first served
MIC: Mrs M Taylor
Description: Opportunity for students to develop their cooking skills whilst also sharing
this knowledge with younger students from the local primary school. A keen interest
in cooking/food preparation and helping younger students is required.
