Examination Success

Bloxham School continues to grow in strength academically.
We are a school which prides itself on delivering an all-round
education and believe an individual’s personal development
is just as important as the grades they achieve. Our small
classes, tailored approached to teaching and learning, and
rigorous tracking system help ensure significant “value
added” success, meaning Bloxham students regularly achieve
results beyond expectation. Each year, many students leave
Bloxham for top universities both in the UK and overseas,
including Oxbridge; whilst others join vocational courses to
suit their strengths.

Bloxham School has a broad selection policy, welcoming
children with a range of academic abilities. We encourage
every student, whatever their level, to participate in our varied
curriculum. Over recent years, our GCSE pass rate has risen to
nearly 100%.

In 2017, approximately half of all GCSE exams taken resulted
in A*/A or grade 7-9, with the more able students achieving
86% top grades.

In recent years, two thirds of all A Level results were
at the top grades, with Bloxham students achieving
a 99% pass rate. The majority (over 90%) of our
cohort won places at their first-choice university,
with Bristol, Leeds, Exeter, Nottingham and
Durham and other Russell Group universities
being popular destinations. More students
than ever considered and/or applied
for Higher or Degree Apprenticeships
and Bloxham School fully support
students wishing to consider
alternative routes into Higher
