19 Under rule 42.3 (h) Boats in classes 5, 6 may after running
aground use their engines to get clear. If they do so, they shall, after
getting clear and having stopped their engine and before continuing
with the race, take a Two Turns Penalty as per rule 44.2 Such action
shall be reported to the Burnham Week Office within the protest time
limit.
20. Glassware for successful boats will be available for collection from the
Burnham Week Office situated in the Royal Corinthian Yacht Club.
21. Prizes will be awarded in accordance with Sailing Instructions
Appendix X.

22 Areas that are Obstructions
22.1 On the South bank of the River Crouch there are marker posts
denoting the breaches to the wall and entrances to the wetlands.
There are underwater hazards and obstructions on the foreshore/river
banks around the breaches. It is dangerous to go inside these posts.
22.2 On the West bank of the River Roach there are entrances to the
wetlands. There are hazards and obstructions on the foreshore / river
bank around the breaches. It is dangerous to go into the entrances.
23 Risk Statement
Rule 4 of the Racing Rules of Sailing states: “The responsibility for a
boat’s decision to participate in a race or to continue racing is hers
alone.”
