NEW JERSEY STATE GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS

           Language Arts Literacy                4 years
           Math                                  15 credits:

                                                 Algebra, Geometry, and a 3  Math Course (one that builds upon
                                                 the concepts and skills of algebra and geometry)
           Science                               15 credits
                                                    Biology (Life Science), Chemistry/ Environmental Science / or
                                                    Physics, and one additional lab/inquiry based science course

           Social Studies                        15 credits:
                                                 US History I, US History II, and World History
           Financial, Economic, Business         2.5 Credits (can be completed as one of the following: economics,
           & Entrepreneurial Literacy            consumer math, or financial literacy)
           Health/Physical Education             5 credits for every year enrolled in high school


           Visual and Performing Arts            5 credits
           World Language                        5 credits
           21st Century Life Careers, or         5 credits
           Career-Technical Education*
           TOTAL CREDITS                         120
        * The star and diamond designations will be utilized throughout this guide to indicate courses meeting these graduation
        requirements.
