REGAN LATCH TOOL
The Regan Latch release tool is used for the
disconnection and removal of GL4 subsea guideline
anchors with pulling or pushing force, and 129 mm
of extension.
The Latch Tool hydraulic supply can be either plumbed directly from the
ROV, or supplied in the form of a hot stab attachment. The Regan Latch
release tool is manipulator deployed and allows an ROV to mechanically
attach it to the top of the guidepost. It then hydraulically compresses the
latching mechanism making it possible to remove the guidepost for retrieval
to the surface on the guide wires provided.
Latching Tool
The tool can either be manipulator deployed or mounted firmly onto the
ROV’s framework. It requires one dual hydraulic function from the ROV
valve pack and will work on 140 or 210 bar of hydraulic pressure.
