GASKET / SEAL CHANGE OUT TOOL

Fugro-impROV’s Gasket Change Out Tool is a fully
mechanical tool, capable of securely capturing and
replacing VX proprietary gaskets from a wellhead.
The tool is cam driven and does not require hydraulic
operation to function. Standard versions are available
for 13-5/8” and 18-3/4” gaskets; however any gasket
profile can be catered for.
Unlike other Tools which protrude within the wellhead bore, this tool
latches to the external groove of the gasket ring and therefore avoids any
interference with tubing hangers / packers within the bore. Gasket (pink) secured within Tool
The unit has three locking collate fingers which engage into the outer
profile of the gasket. With the handle in position 2, the tool can be pushed
down over the gasket. The dogs then spring click into position. Moving the
engagement lever to position 1 firmly locks them into place and moving
it to position 3 releases the dogs from the gasket. A plastic guide under
the centre of the tool ensures the tool is aligned with a gasket during
engagement. The Tool can be supplied with a choice of a paddle / fishtail /
T-bar or ring handles.
