METHANOL INJECTION SKID
The Methanol Injection Skid (MIS) is an ROV mounted
‘under-slung’ skid that is designed to store up to 240
Litres of methanol. Control of the skid is via a subsea
Control System and the skid is capable of outputting
up to 690 bar at 10 l/min.
The MIS can be adapted to fit any work class ROV.
A gauge is provided on the pressure injection circuit to allow visual indication
of the supply pressure. This information is repeated electronically by a
pressure transducer to the surface control laptop control screen. The surface
control laptop also indicates methanol reservoirs empty or full status. Skid Top View
The control system provides the MIS with the necessary hydraulic and
electrical controls to function the methanol reservoirs and pumps fitted
in the skid.
Pressure intensifiers are driven by a connection to the ROV via the subsea
Control System. These units increase the pressure of the methanol output
supply to maximum 690 bar at 10 l/min. The hydraulic output supplies from
the valve pack have regulators and flow controllers fitted to allow skid
functions to be set up and controlled as required.
