The Bait – The bait to carry out this transposition was

collected as the Progressive Alliance dispatched armies
of highly skilled Civil Rights advocates across America,
particularly across the south. Their missions were to

organize grass-root groups to identify grievance cases,
or appearances of such, that could be used for political

propaganda, wedges, and bait. Examples of such
            grievances included; voter suppression, voter

intimidation, voter registration, voter ID, job
discrimination, along with any other narratives that

imply “systemic racism” that could be linked or
attributed to the GOP. All were excellent sources of bait

since each are highly subjective depending on individual
            viewpoints.

In response, GOP officials sometimes took the bait as
they were gaining success unseating the political

monopolies that Democrats had long held in the south.
One example of GOP officials taking the “bait” occurred

during the Reagan Presidency when Alabama’s Attorney
General, Jeff Sessions, prosecuted grassroots civil rights

leaders from five west Alabama Black Belt counties for
alleged violations of absentee voting laws 46, 47 . While
evidence suggests that there may have been violations,

a fair jury refused to convict. Therefore, prosecution was
a serious mistake. Biting into this bait cost the GOP

dearly. It became the “switch” that helped to transpose
