in the United States’ political history. How did they

accomplish this dramatic feat? They skillfully executed
extraordinary “bait-and-switch” maneuvers. Let us
consider what challenges they faced.

The Challenges of Political “Bait and Switch” – To

accomplish this transformation, the Progressive Alliance
had to eradicate, or at least neutralize, the excellent civil

rights record that the Republican Party (GOP) had
established since its inception in 1854. This required that

“bait-and-switch” maneuvers be carried out with
surgical-like precision. In effect, it had to lift the pristine

historical image of the face of the GOP and replace it
with a molded image that attributed the appearances of

the sins and traits of “racism”.

At the same time, it had to remove the historically

repugnant “race” sins that had deformed the image of
the Democratic Party. Finally, it had to replace the old

with a newly grafted image that masquerades as the
“one-and-only” protagonists of Civil Rights and “racial

justice”.

Let’s now consider how this Progressive Alliance skillfully

executed the most stunning “bait and switch” maneuver
of the centuries.
