Chapter 8: Truths of Social Justice

Fredrick Hyatt, Nobel Laurette said – “I have come to feel
that the greatest service that I could give to my fellow

man is if I could make those among them who speak of
this, to be thoroughly ashamed to ever use the term

            ‘Social Justice’ again.”

                          – What is “Social Justice”?

“Social Justice” 68-74 , at its core, is the redistribution of

resources and advantages to the disadvantaged or the
oppressed in order to achieve social and economic

equality. As we shall discuss, “Social Justice” is
interwoven with the ideas of intersectionality 74 ,
                              76
                                                          75
            postmodernism , and multiculturalism .
Much has been written and said about the efforts of

“Social Justice” advocates for bringing redress to
disadvantaged or oppressed groups. In contrast,

relatively little is written or discussed about the harmful
byproducts that “Social Justice” zealots are inflicting on

individuals or groups who are labeled as “privileged”, or
worse as “oppressors”. The consequences of these
byproducts can be so severe that special terms have

crept into social consciousness. These are “cancel

            culture” and “wokeness”.
