Cancel culture is the wonton castigation, nullification,

and destruction of an individual or group that speaks or
commits offenses against oppressed groups. Such
efforts seldom end with simple rebuke. Instead, they

often demand excessively punitive measures that
include destruction of livelihoods, caustic verbal or

physical attacks, and banishment of the offensive
individuals or groups. Because of the severity and

intensity of the punitive cancellation efforts,
“Wokeness” has become a term that people wear, like

badges of repentance, to flaunt their sympathy and
loyalty to “Social Justice” pursuits. Such cancellations

are causing great harm that can lead to tragic ends for
many unfortunate transgressors – whether privileged or

oppressors.

While secular efforts for “Social Justice” may be bringing

redress for many, the byproducts of its retributions are
levying a severe toll on the quality of life for the total

body of humanity. Their harsh cancellations reveal the
recurring flaw that seems to always plague secular

solutions. Such solutions are ultimately destined to
failure because they lack the fundamental element of
the reconciliation that CHRIST established for us. That

element is forgiveness – which brings true healing.
Without forgiveness, there can never be true healing.

Healing is the only true redress for hurts and grievances.
