only way to totally eradicate the prevailing “racial”
issues.
Spiritual Leadership – Clearly the Church Body is the
appropriate source of leadership to guide society
through the maze and challenges of this prevailing issue.
The Church has to answer this call, because the Church
has the Truth. The truth is - reconciliation in all its
permutations has already been accomplished by HE
Who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life!
Churches are being tested and challenged. Why
do we still rage and struggle? Sadly, as we have pointed
out, the Church as a whole has abdicated its leadership
role regarding so-called racial issues, perspectives and
thinking. It has embraced secular thinking, secular
approaches, secular responses, and secular speech. This
is not to suggest that all Church organizations or
denominations have done so, but the Church as a whole
is not unified on this. As the saying goes, “a chain is only
as strong as its weakest link.” (Interestingly, the word
denomination suggests a division within the Body of
CHRIST.)
The Tests – As we discussed in Chapter 9, Churches are
facing critical tests at a time when our nation now
stands at a critical juncture in its history. In truth, so is
the world. The issues of so-called race have become
