Summary
To some these strategies may appear to be like “pie in
the sky.” They may suggest an unrealistic view of reality.
To others, these may be a “bridge too far.” To them,
these are unattainable. To others they may be too risky
and invite turmoil and discomfort.
Yet, to the Spiritual Thinker, the work of LORD is often
contrary to reality. It is typically beyond our human
capacity to accomplish, which requires us to depend on
the HOLY SPIRIT to work through us. It will most
assuredly invite dissention, disdain, and ridicule from
the world.
The issues involving so-called racial strife, demand
GODLY leadership, or they will continue to fester
deceive and destroy. It is long past the time when
mediocrity in our Christian walk and abdication of our
authority must cease. JESUS paid the price. HE achieved
complete reconciliation in all its aspects! The charge
now rests with Christians individually, and with the
Church collectively to understand and embrace it, live it,
and lead the world to receive it. Yes, it is counterculture.
Yes, it is difficult, uncomfortable and may even be a bit
dangerous. But the call to the Ministry of Reconciliation
has not been withdrawn. Let us lead in the good fight!
