AUCSO Chair attends CAMPROSA Conference

and strengthens relations with new President

In November 2022 I was privileged to be invited to attend CAMPROSA
Conference in Johannesburg. That was a wonderful experience and I
learned so much about the challenges faced by our counterparts in
Southern Africa and was inspired by the quality and diversity of the
speakers at the conference. We took the opportunity to formalise a new
partnership and collaboration with CAMPROSA
by formally signing a Memorandum of
Understanding between our Associations.

I was delighted to be present for the
inauguration of CAMPROSA’s first female
President Busisiwe Mtswensi, congratulations Busi your election heralds
a new era for EDI in HE Security in Southern Africa and is an inspiration
to us all. Busi will be attending our Conference in April so be sure to
engage with her and make her very welcome.

Gary Stephen Wins National Security Award

Wonderful news and sincere congratulations to Gary
Stephen, AUCSO Scotland Regional Chair, who has
won the Inhouse Security Manager of the Year
Award at the OSPAs awards event in London on 23rd
February.

Congratulations also to our colleague Terry Branch,
Imperial College London, who was a finalist in the
same category as Gary

This continues the theme of AUCSO Members being
nominated and winning major security awards in the
wider security sector, bringing enhanced credibility
to our Association and highlighting our position as a
major contributor to global security.
