University of Essex Patrol Officers
given commendations
Three patrol officers at the University of Essex have been
awarded various commendations by Essex Police for
their life saving actions earlier in the year.
Adrian Blofield, Patrol Officer at University of Essex was
awarded a Chief Constable's commendation by Essex
Police. He was joined by Marcus Snell and Aaron Syrett
who have been awarded a Chief Superintendents
commendation by Essex Police for their joint lifesaving
actions and supporting their colleague, Adrian.
They have all
been recognised externally by the Police for their efforts
and within the University they should be very proud of
their actions and achievements.
Tim Morris, Deputy Director of Estates said, “the
officers showed incredible professionalism and
presence of mind in extremely difficult circumstances,
their prompt actions in supporting a very vulnerable
member of our community ensured a positive outcome
to a potentially life-threatening situation.”
