He will use new technology to extend the range and depth of our knowledge, making a potentially STORYLINENATURAL HISTORY & BIODIVERSITYThe Jaguar Apprentice%u2019s journey of discovery into this isolated and pristine natural world is the mainstay of the principle narrative. His journey is signposted by the animals characters he meets and these encounters enable us to introduce blue-chip natural history sequences.%u201cTHE JAGUAR%u2019S APPRENTICE%u201d is a feature documentary set in Chiribiquete National Park, Colombia. It follows the path of a young boy chosen to become his tribe%u2019s (the Carijona%u2019s) new shamanic apprentice. The Carijona, alsoknown as the Jaguar People, consider the rocky tepui the %u201cRealm of the Gods%u201c.The Carijona%u2019s believe that it is their destiny to sustain the balance harmony of life within Chiribiquete. They can only do this by becoming the park%u2019s protectors. Their trials and tribulations will also feature in the storyline.ONE BOY%u2019S JOURNEYAs the Jaguar%u2019s Apprentice grows and learns, he awakens to the ancestral insight shared by his mentor, to the challenges being experienced by his people, and to the fundamental role of each and every life form. LEARNING FROM THE FORESTA young shaman will spend many hours in the forest observing animal behaviour and learning their ways.
