The LaST Chair
LaST stands for Learning and Sharing Together which is at the heart
of our intergenerational programme which has been running in
Burnham in Buckinghamshire since 2002.
We currently have 3 projects. We made
the chair at the newest of these which
brings together Year 5 children from Lent
Rise School with residents at Nicholas
House (Abbeyfield) Care Home.
We began by thinking of words that we
associated with our project e.g. smiles,
laughter, calming, fun, interesting,
creative. The children copied them onto
bunting which they used to decorate a
dining chair. Everyone was involved – it
was delightful.
