• The difference in cost for an incident reported same day, to one reported several days later, can range
from £3k to £30k (the average cost of a claim reported the day after the incident is £5,437).
A lot of cost lies in the sourcing of replacement cars, loss of earnings and personal injury claims. If an insurance
company is not yet involved in a claim, some accident management companies will charge inflated rates to
maximise their own profit. It is crucial that we get our insurer involved in every claim as early as possible
