Once you have selected your location, select “Report Incident.” The first screen provides guidance on what you
should do at the scene of the incident. Please read this guidance and then click “Start Claim”
If you think your vehicle may not be driveable, click No on the app and you will need to speak to AA Accident
Management. You can continue to record information on the app, but any roadside recovery will need to sort out
over the telephone
The next screen asks you to input the date and time of the incident, followed by the location of the incident. You
can use the GPS on the phone to do this.
Witness and Third-Party Details
The witness details need to be captured quickly as they will be the first to leave the scene of the accident.
The vehicle registration will be looked up against DVLA records and checked for accuracy
Please take photos of any damage on the third parties’ car and mark it clearly on the diagram
You can now record any damage to your own vehicle
If the police are attending the incident, you must record this. They will attend if any
drivers require emergency medical attention, the incident is blocking the road, or they
suspect illegal driving)
