Everglades








                                                                          From March 5  to 7,2002, the Sixth Grade took a
                                                                         trip on  the wild side when they visited the well-knowi
                                                                          Everglades of Florida. The chaperones of this trip
                                                                         included Mrs.Booth, Sr.Copeland, Mrs.Naughton and
                                                                             Ms. Stringer. They started out by touring the
                                                                           Anliinga Trail where they saw alligators, birds of
                                                                          different species, and turtles. Students were divided

                                                                          into groups and slept in small cabins during the night.1
                                                                          These adventurers also visited the Pine Lands where
                                                                         they saw different trees and rode on a hay wagon. The
                                                                           students now know how mysterious the caves are
                                                                          because they had to travel them alone. Nevertheless,
                                                                           these true campers learned many facts about nature
                                                                          and now they will be able to recognize and name the
                                                                                         different animals.
