The hardest part of creating a yearbook is the rather large task of cramming all of the life, emotion and strength
)ossessedby the Carrollton community into one 276 page yearbook. At first, this seemed like a mission impossible. The six
nembers of the staff were terrified. Still, we knew we had something very special to help us: unity and friendship. We did
werything as a team, and amazingly we didn’t get tired of each other too easily.
As a team we struggled, we argued, we rejoiced and most importantly we created a book that when opened,
inleashes the true spirit of the Carrollton community. We encountered many obstacles, such as what we hoped the theme
;hould be. We knew it had to be something that incorporated all aspects of Carrollton life: academic life, service, community
md faith. It came to us, ironically, on September 11. That day we decided that this theme was perfect because not only did
t incorporate the Carrollton community, but also the entire world community as well. “Downloading Days” symbolizes the
nemories we “download” each and every day that will go on with us into the world when we leave this community and move
 m. Technology has become an integral part of Carrollton. From the Montessori through the High School, it has touched us
ill. It was also vital to us, the staff, in preparing the yearbook.
Not all of the year was filled with tough spots; we had countless amazing days, such as when we finished the
adder. At least we knew what order everything went in. What a relief! When we created the cover.. .a sense of excite-
nent. When we turned in the last page to the publishing company.. .a sense of accomplishment. It was ironic, though,
 >ecause at the time we felt sad that the year had come to an end. Five of the yearbook staff members are seniors, and it is
ime for them to leave and take memories with them. The end of every year is the beginning of a new one, one filled with
wen more excitement, memories and intellectual fun. We hope you’ll enjoy downloading days.
