Masses are often  used  to cele­
                                                                         brate  events  at  Carrollton.  This
                                                                         year  with  the  direction  of  new
                                                                         Campus  Ministry  director,  Mrs.
                                                                         Ginny  Hutton,  masses have  been
                                                                         distributed  between  the  schools.
                                                                        ,  Each school gets the opportunity
                                                                         to organize and execute their own
                                                                         mass.  By being  able  to  choose
                                                                         their,  |heme,  songs,  offertory,
                                                                         readings, and procession the stu­
                                                                         dents are able to make the mass­
                                                                         es their own.
                                                                            On  October  20,  1993  Carroll­
                                                                         ton  celebrated  the  mass  of  the
                                                                          feast  of Mater.  The  Intermediate
                                                                         School was in charge of organiz­
                                                                          ing  the  Mater  celebration.  The
                                                                         children  chose  songs which  they
                                                                          felt  represented  their  attitudes
                                                                          toward Mater and Mary. The offer­
                                                                          tory  consisted  o f  Intermediate
                                                                          students carrying symbols of the
                                                                          Mater  painting  and  presenting
                                                                          them  to  the  altar.  The  primary
                                                                          students wore pretty pink dresses
                                                                          to  honor  Mary  and  to  represent
                                                                          the color of Mater. The rest of the
                                                                          school  was  encouraged  to  wear
                                                                          something pink in their hair. The
                                                                          mass turned out to be very uplift­
                                                                          ing. After the  mass, goute, a  tra­
                                                                          ditional snack, was distributed to
                                                                          the students.
                                                                            The  All  Saints  Day  Mass  was
                                                                          celebrated  by the  Primary School
                                                                          on  Nov.  1,  1993  selected  girls
                                                                          cam e  dressed  up  as  different
                                                                          saints  and  walked  up  carrying
                                                                          gifts to the altar in a procession of
                                                                          saints.  During  the  prayer  of  the
                                             G/ocjSa                      faithful  the girls walked  up  hold­
                                               '
                                                                          ing  signs  representing  different
                                                                          saints and asked the saint to help
                                                                          all  those  suffering  in  the  world.
                                                                          The mass emphasized music and
                                                                          was  filled  with  songs  specifically
                                                                          chosen arid rehearsed by the Pri­
                                                                          mary School.
                                                                             Both  Masses  were  very  inspir­
                                                                          ing. They were executed flawless­
                                                                          ly  and  organized  well.  Everyone
                                                                          was  able  to  celebrate  All  Saints
                                                                          Day  and  the  feast  of one  of the
                                                                          m ost  im portant  sym bo ls  o f
                                                                          Sacred  Heart  education.  Mater,
