Cross Country had their ups and
downs during their competitive season,
but the comaraderie they shared made it
worthwhile! Coach Mary Aparicio returned to
lead the team, making it a fun and exciting year.
If you were driving through the Grove on any given
day between 3:30 and 5pm, you may have honked
"hello" to our hard-working runners. Those miles
practice paid off as many personal records were
and points were scored at important races.
The girls had a demanding schedule, competing
against such teams as Ransom, Lourdes, and
Westminster Academy. At Districts, the team
placed 6th, qualifying for Regionals, which was
the most challenging meet of the season. Top
runner, Lindsey Champion described the season as
a great test of mental and physical strength and
inspiration. This year's cross-country season was
the season that displayed teamwork, maturity,
and improvement of our 3-mile times.”
