Swimming was a great success this autumn. Junior Luciana Maggiolo shined brilliantly
this season when she traveled to Peru and competed to win a place in the Peruvian Nationa
Team. Placing 4th in her event, Luci will possibly participate in the Summer Olympics iij
Athens, Greece. The rest of the swim team also exceeded expectations this year with twc
strong, encouraging coaches. Coach Santiago said: "The swimming team had a great season
this year. With 11 swimmers^we came fourth in our District and qualified two relays and
sm two individual events for States irj Luciana Maggiolo's fifty and one hundred freestyle. The
participants at States were: LuCiana Maggiolo, Anamaria Maggiolo, Ari Rangel, Sarah
Moody and Meghan Hanrahan."
