"Shakespeare Rocks!" grew out of a desire to see younger students
appreciate the works of William Shakespeare. Once they got past the
language, they would be able to see that the themes are timeless and
the stories resonate as strongly today as they did in the Elizabethan
era. Contemporary music was incorporated to help propel the story.
Tracey, a young girl studying for a Shakespeare test, falls asleep and
is whisked away by Puck to the land of fairies where she is appointed
by Oberon to save Shakespeare's world. Along with the help of clas
sic Shakespearian character, she defeats the great evils of literature
and returns home ready as she'll ever be for her Shakespeare test.
