Carrollton High School started the year
by having a Kick-Off dance on September
23, 1994. The dance was sponsored by
the Sophomores and Key Club. The PA.C.
was filled with a variety of students from
schools like Ransom, Belen, Columbus,
and Gulliver. The party was deejayed by
Jammin' Johnny of Power 96 and as a side
show, the band, who's name at the time
was Beaufort Bering, performed som e
songs.
"The dance had a great
turnout, especially by the
Seniors. 1 think m ost o f
them went because they
realized how special this
dance was considering it
was one of our last.

There was a variety of music ranging
from alternative, to dance and from rock
to hip-hop. This seemed to accommodate
the diversity of people that attended.
As a tribute to the Class o f'95, jammin'
Johnny asked all the Seniors onto the
stage so they could be recognized. While
on stage. Ana Gonzalez and Esther Suarez
led the rest of the students in a rendition
of YMCA by the Village People.
