The Carrollton Les Choristes and Ensemble joined Father Vallee,
Sister Cooke, the Junior Class and parents at St. Hugh to celebrate
the Feast o f the Epiphany and the beginning o f the Kairos Retreat.
Following the Mass, Sister Cooke compared the recent news story
o f a little girl guided by a porch light to safety, to the three Magi
guided by the North Star to Jesus. She added that Kairos is meant i
to be a guiding light for the Juniors to follow. Sister Cooke shared
the great news of her full recovery with the community. "Sister
Cooke telling everyone [about her recuperation] brought about a
sense of unity and great happiness, said choir member Sophia Bazo
'17.
The Choir and the Ensemble dedicated "You Raise Me Up" to the
parents and Your Voice is the Wind' to the Junior Class. The Mass
concluded with a blessing o f the Junior Class for a fruitful retreat.
The Juniors returned three days later from their spiritual journey and
attended a closing Mass with parents and m embers o f the Carrollton
community. "Kairos is a very impactful and deep retreat. It helped me think about
my relationships with G od and others, about the person I've become, and about the
person I want to be," said Carolina Fernandez' 16.
