I After six months of organizing, building, and fundraising
D the Carrollton Robotics Team was finally able to put our
H hard work and dedication on display at the 2007 National
j| B IQ competition in Miami Beach. During the competition
H the skilh we accumulated throughout the year were tested,
I but we prevailed with finishes and awards galore. W e were
crowned national champs in the Task Oriented division
I and received first place awards for Coolest Robot and Best
Documentation of the building process. In the one-hundred
and twenty pound competition we left with yth and 12th
n place finishes. The Miami Herald, El Nuevo Herald,
I Channel 10 and Univision all recognized Carrollton for our
9 hard work and dedication to our Robotics Team. Though the
I convention center was only a stone's throw away for many of
I us we thoroughly enjoyed the experience and all the-memories
I we made.
