This has been another successful year for the Robotic's team which
competed in two local tournaments plus the National tournament.
At nationals, the following freshmen teams won awards: 2nd place
overall plus 3rd place in Robotics Documentation- Trouble Cleft
(Christina Fernandez, Chelsea Blanco, Victoria Montero, Diana Carvel);
3rd place- Windup (Taylor Borden, Caitlyn Cullen, Megan Nardo,
Hailey Russell, Katy Vidaurretta); 5th place overall plus 3rd place in
Robotics Documentation, and Best Engineered Robot- Greese (Victoria
Cabrera, Claudia de Armas, Cristina Beauperthuy, Leticia Beeck); Best
Sportsmanship- The Boss (Catalina Ruiz, Gabriela Thompson, Leila
Chediak, Stephanie Pinon). In the 15 pound fighting robots, 10th and
12th grade division: Best placed Carrollton robot making it to quarter
finals- Choo Choo bot (Alessandra Mesa, Anamari Mesa, Ana Zelaya,
Adrienne Castro, Sofia Arazoza); 1st place in Robotics Documentation-
Lucky Strike (Jade Brown, Christiana Rosales, Emma Guerra, Emily
Parr); 3rd place in Robotics Documentation- Little Einsteins (Andrea
Barcia, Claudine Fernandez); Coolest Robot- Queen Bee (Gaby

Sabater); finishing with impressive victories- Roli Poli Remix (Carolina
Menendez, Ana Kurzan, Adriana de Armas). In the 120 pound fighting
Robots 12th grade division: 3rd place overall plus 2nd place in Robotics
Documentation- Simon Bar Sinister (Sophia Diaz, Victoria Enjamio, and
girls from Northwestern High School); Best Sportsmanship and Best
Engineered Robot- Famous Last Words (from Teenager) (Lizzy Mass on,
Danielle Cosio.)
