A Day
Full of Surprises
“Come on Mrs. Azan, let us go outside and see the little girls” pleaded
senior Lauren Hastings on the morning of Halloween as the little
princesses, pumpkins and M&Ms paraded through the halls of the High
School.
The annual parade was one of the many events taking place on this
day. The Primary students were not the only ones with high spirit,
however; the High School students celebrated by dressing up in very
eccentric and original costumes. Senior Veronica Alvarez, dressed up
as the swan from the movie “The Other Sister” and received the first
prize for having thf most creative costume.
Over at the Intermediate, the sixth grade students eagerly awaited
the pumpkin-carving contest. When it finally came time for the contest
to begin, each student excitedly carved her own pumpkin, and, with
Sister Copeland’s help, produced some real masterpieces. No two jack-
o-lantems looked the same. The day was full of many unexpected
surprises, and all the students agreed that they had great fun on this
exciting Halloween day.
