The Tradition

                                                                Continues

“Turn my ring!” “Turn my ring!” juniors excitedly asked other
students, teachers and relatives following the Ring Ceremony Mass

held on February §J 2001, at the Church of St. Hugh. As it is tradition
to turn the ring as many times as the graduation year, the Class of ’02

opted for 102 turns. Also for the first time this year, the Mass was held
in the morning, allowing the High School and Junior High students to

                                                 attend.
As with all Sacred Heart rings, the words “Caritas Vincit Omnia” —
Love Conquers All, are inscribed on the outside of the ring. These

rings are tremendously symbolic as they acknowledge the Junior Class
as the new leaders of the High School and coming a step closer in

becoming permanent members of the Sacred Heart Community.
While hugging her ring sister, senior Alejandra Dell’Oro, after the
ceremony Junior Amanda Codina stated, “I have looked forward to

getting my ring for as long as I can remember. This is great!”
