SeaCamp
Swimming in the shark tank!!! The seventh
graders who attended Seacamp could not
believe that they would be swimming next to
sharks. According to the seventh graders,
Seacamp was the highlight of their year. They
were able to go down to Newfound Harbor
Marine Institute in Big Pine Key to see all the
organisms they learned about in the classroom.
This trip gave the students the chance to learn
and explore the sea, while having fun. The sift

students went in searcbbf marine invertebrates
and samples of algae. lhe\ also wentsnorkcl-
ing off the coral heads ancl played camouflage
games in the mud. Alexandra Fabre said, “I
loved it when we swam in the shark tank. At first
I was scared, but that ended up being my
favorite part of the trip.”
