Everglades
Trip
Most sixth graders were slightly apprehensive
about visiting an unknown territory like the
Everglades. Yet at the same time, many were
looking forward to this three-day trip.
* The girls not only spent time experiencing the
Everglades, they also had a chance to get to
know each other better. The students were
exposed to everything, from animals and plant
life to evening stars. Unfortunately, due to this
year’s drought conditions they were unable to
have campfires, but still enjoyed S’mores via the
oven. What’s more, the trip taught the students
about community, sharing, and enjoying the
beauty of God’s creations.
